Counter-Strike 2 Buy Binds Guide
Buy bind syntax, ready binds for utility, pistols, rifles, AWP and full loadouts, every buy command name with prices in one table, and how to save it all in autoexec.cfg
Buy binds in Counter-Strike 2 buy weapons, armor, grenades or a whole loadout with one key. It's mostly about comfort: instead of opening the buy menu every round, you repeat the same purchase without extra clicks and without buying the wrong thing by accident.
A buy bind is just bind plus buy. One item or a full set for rifle rounds, pistol rounds, ecos or utility. Two things to know: a weapon is bought only if it's in your active loadout, and the game buys only what you can afford. Below: the syntax, ready binds to copy, a table with every buy command and price, and how to save your binds.
How to Make a Buy Bind in CS2
A bind ties a command to a key. Binds are a built-in feature, not scripts or cheats, and they are fine in Competitive and Premier. Buy binds aren't about winning a fraction of a second, CS2 gives you enough buy time. Their value is consistency: you don't forget a grenade and you don't click the wrong rifle.
Three steps: pick a key, decide what it buys, add the command in the console or your config.
Single-Item Buy Bind
bind "key" "buy item"
bind "F1" "buy ak47"
F1 tries to buy an AK-47 when you're in the buy zone during buy time. The weapon has to be available for your side and in your loadout. All item names are in the table below.
Multi-Item Buy Bind
Several purchases in one bind, separated by semicolons:
bind "F1" "buy ak47; buy deagle; buy vesthelm"
The commands run in order: AK-47, Desert Eagle, Kevlar with helmet. Whatever you can't afford or can't buy on your side is skipped, the rest is bought. The order is your priority: put the most important item first.
Buy commands don't count as movement or attack, so the August 2024 rule (one movement or attack command per bind) doesn't affect them. A bind with ten buys is completely fine.
Ready-to-Use CS2 Buy Bind Commands
Copy them into the console or your config, then change keys and items as you like. Most binds list both side versions (for example molotov and incgrenade), you only get the one your side can buy. I use F1 to F12, check the note on default F keys in the tips.
Utility Buy Binds
bind "F2" "buy incgrenade; buy molotov; buy defuser"
A Molotov on T side or an Incendiary on CT side, plus a defuse kit for CT.
bind "F3" "buy hegrenade; buy flashbang; buy smokegrenade; buy defuser"
HE, flash and smoke, and a kit on CT. Grenade keys for these: grenade binds.
Pistol and Eco Buy Binds
bind "F4" "buy deagle; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
Desert Eagle and Kevlar with helmet, plus a kit on CT. On a pistol round with $800 you get the Deagle only, swap vesthelm for vest if you want armor instead.
Rifle and AWP Buy Binds
bind "F5" "buy galilar; buy famas; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
Galil AR on T, FAMAS and a kit on CT, Kevlar with helmet on both.
bind "F6" "buy sg556; buy aug; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
SG 553 on T, AUG and a kit on CT.
bind "F7" "buy ak47; buy m4a1_silencer; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
AK-47 on T, M4A1-S on CT. Using the M4A4? Replace m4a1_silencer with m4a1, and keep the right one in your loadout.
bind "F8" "buy g3sg1; buy scar20; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
G3SG1 on T, SCAR-20 and a kit on CT.
bind "F9" "buy awp; buy vesthelm; buy defuser"
AWP with Kevlar and helmet, plus a kit on CT.
Full Buy Loadout Binds
A complete buy on one key: main weapon, Desert Eagle, Kevlar with helmet, smoke, HE, flash, fire and a kit on CT. That's 4 grenades, exactly the limit in Competitive and Premier.
Full Rifle Loadout
bind "F10" "buy ak47; buy m4a1_silencer; buy vesthelm; buy deagle; buy smokegrenade; buy hegrenade; buy flashbang; buy molotov; buy incgrenade; buy defuser"
| Side | What you get | Total |
|---|---|---|
| T | AK-47, Kevlar + Helmet, Deagle, smoke, HE, flash, Molotov | $5,600 |
| CT | M4A1-S, Kevlar + Helmet, Deagle, smoke, HE, flash, Incendiary, kit | $6,300 |
Full AWP Loadout
bind "F11" "buy awp; buy vesthelm; buy deagle; buy smokegrenade; buy hegrenade; buy flashbang; buy molotov; buy incgrenade; buy defuser"
| Side | What you get | Total |
|---|---|---|
| T | AWP, Kevlar + Helmet, Deagle, smoke, HE, flash, Molotov | $7,650 |
| CT | AWP, Kevlar + Helmet, Deagle, smoke, HE, flash, Incendiary, kit | $8,150 |
Treat these as templates, not a fixed set. Remove what you never buy, change the keys and keep only the combos you really use. If money runs short, the game buys in order and skips the rest, so the weapon and armor come first.

- Damage
- Base damage of one bullet. Shotguns show damage per pellet times the number of pellets. HE is the maximum in the center, fire is per second.
- Armor pen
- How much of the damage goes through Kevlar. The rest is absorbed by armor.
- RPM
- Rounds per minute, from the time between shots.
- Kill reward
- Money for a kill in Competitive and Premier.
- 1-shot HS
- Kills with one headshot through a helmet at close range, before damage falls off with distance. Shotguns depend on how many pellets hit, so n/a.
Use it to plan ecos and force buys: most SMGs pay $600 per kill (the P90 only $300), shotguns $900 (XM1014 $600), the knife $1,500 and the AWP only $100. A Tec-9 or Five-SeveN for $500 kills with one headshot through a helmet up close, the Glock and USP-S never do.
How to Add Buy Binds in CS2
Use the console to test single binds, autoexec.cfg to keep them all together and load them on every start.
Through the Developer Console
- Open Settings, Game and set Enable Developer Console to Yes.
- Press ~ to open the console.
-
Paste the bind and press
Enter
, for example:
bind "F4" "buy deagle; buy vesthelm"
- Test it during buy time. Want another key or item? Edit the line and enter it again, the new bind replaces the old one.
Save Buy Binds in autoexec.cfg
- Open
...\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg\. - Create a file named autoexec.cfg (not autoexec.cfg.txt).
-
Put each bind on its own line:
bind "F2" "buy smokegrenade; buy flashbang" bind "F3" "buy hegrenade; buy molotov; buy incgrenade" bind "F4" "buy deagle; buy vesthelm"
- Save and start CS2, the file runs by itself.
Edited the file while the game is running? Save it and type exec autoexec in the console. More about configs: CS2 config guide.
CS2 Buy Binds Tips
Some weapons share a loadout slot: Desert Eagle and R8, M4A4 and M4A1-S, USP-S and P2000, MP7 and MP5-SD, CZ75-Auto and Tec-9 or Five-SeveN. A bind buys only what's in your loadout.
F3 and F4 are autobuy and rebuy, F5 is a screenshot, F10 the quit prompt. A buy bind replaces them, fine if you don't use them.
A small set for rifles, pistols, utility and AWP is easier to remember than a bind for every situation.
Try new binds in practice mode before a match, especially multi-item binds with weapons from both sides.
To free a key: unbind f3. Your binds are saved in ...\Steam\userdata\AccountID\730\local\cfg\cs2_user_keys_0_slot0.vcfg. Numpad keys (kp_end, kp_5 and so on) and mouse5 work for buy binds too. Related guides: jump on the mouse wheel, useful binds, CS2 scripting.
Conclusion
Buy binds are an easy way to repeat your usual buys without the menu: one item or a full set of weapon, armor, grenades and kit. Start with a few you'll really use, test them in practice, match them to your loadout and keep them in autoexec.cfg. The table above has every buy command and price, so building your own binds takes a minute.
CS2 Buy Binds FAQ
Are buy binds allowed in Competitive and Premier?
Yes. They are normal console commands, not cheats or third-party tools. The August 2024 restrictions are about movement and attack commands, buy commands aren't affected.
What happens if I don't have enough money?
CS2 runs the commands from left to right and skips what you can't afford, then buys the next item. You get as much of the loadout as your money allows.
Why isn't my buy bind working?
Usually the loadout: with the R8 equipped instead of the Deagle, or the M4A4 instead of the M4A1-S, that buy does nothing. Also check that you're in the buy zone during buy time.
What is the buy command for the M4A4 and the M4A1-S?
buy m4a1 for the M4A4, buy m4a1_silencer for the M4A1-S. All names are in the table.
What is the difference between vest and vesthelm?
vest is Kevlar only ($650), vesthelm is Kevlar with a helmet ($1,000).
Can I use mouse buttons or numpad keys?
Yes: mouse4, mouse5 and all numpad keys like kp_5 work. Note that mouse4 is push-to-talk by default.
How do I remove or reset a buy bind?
unbind f4 clears one key, binddefaults brings back the default layout.
Do pro players use buy binds?
Many do. Not for speed, but for precision: rifle, armor and grenades without mistakes, and the first seconds of the round go to communication.
