Steam ID Finder FAQ

A glowing “FAQ” displayed on a futuristic holographic panel, surrounded by floating question marks and digital circuitry within a cosmic, sci-fi environment
What is the difference between SteamID, SteamID3, and SteamID64?

SteamID (SteamID): STEAM_X:Y:Z - old, human-readable format used in legacy games; SteamID3: [U:1:AccountID] - modern, compact format used in APIs; SteamID64: 7656119xxxxxxxxxx - 64-bit unique ID used in Steam URLs and internally. All three refer to the same account, just in different formats.

How can I find my SteamID64?

The easiest way is to paste your Steam profile link or vanity URL into the SteamIDs Lookup tool. The tool automatically resolves the profile and returns the 17-digit SteamID64 along with other formats such as SteamID2, SteamID3, and AccountID.

Can I convert a Steam trade link to a SteamID?

Yes. Steam trade links contain a parameter called partner, which represents the AccountID (Steam32). When you paste a trade link into the lookup tool, it extracts the partner ID and converts it into all SteamID formats, including SteamID64 and SteamID3.

Is this SteamID lookup tool private?

Yes. The tool only processes public Steam identifiers such as profile URLs or SteamIDs. It does not require login, access your Steam account, or store personal data. The lookup simply converts publicly available identifiers into different formats.
