Launch the game and select the replaced faction.
How player models work in CS 1.6
Counter-Strike 1.6 has eight default factions - four Counter-Terrorists and four Terrorists. Each faction uses its own .mdl file. A custom model usually replaces one of these files.
For example, the Captain America model comes as gign.mdl. If you rename it to arctic.mdl or terror.mdl, the same model can be used on the Terrorist side. You can also replace all four CT or all four T models with the same custom model.
