Counter-Strike 1.6 Skins

Weapon skins and player models for Counter-Strike 1.6, with installation instructions for each download.

Models in CS 1.6 are client-side. Replacing a weapon or player model changes only what you see on your own game client and does not modify the server files.

Everything below is tested in game, with the correct file paths provided. Download the archive, copy the files into the appropriate \cstrike\ folders, and restart the game. A full installation guide is included further down the page.

How to Install CS 1.6 Skins

Install CS 1.6 skins in five steps. Back up the original files before replacing them.

  1. Download

    Grab the archive from the collection page. Links are direct, no waiting pages.

  2. Extract

    Extract the archive with WinRAR or 7-Zip. Keep the original folder structure for the next step.

  3. Copy into \cstrike\

    Copy the included folders into \cstrike\, not directly into models. Some skins also include sound or sprite files, so keeping the folder structure places each file in the correct directory.

  4. Replace when asked

    Windows may ask to replace existing files. Back up the originals first if you want to restore the default models later.

  5. Restart the game

    Models load at startup. A map change is not enough.
