Introduction

Welcome to Anubis, one of the newest and most exciting maps in Counter-Strike 2. Set in an ancient Egyptian style environment, Anubis stands out with its unique layout, interesting chokepoints, and layered design. It brings new tactical challenges and makes every match feel fresh and full of possibilities.

Overview

Anubis is set in an old Egyptian style area with ruins, narrow paths, and parts filled with water. The map mixes close-range fights with long sightlines and changes in height, giving players lots of different ways to play. You can go aggressive or hold back and play smart, it works either way.

Bombsite A has more open space and vertical spots, like the central fountain and the high ground called Heaven, which is great for snipers or setting up crossfires. Bombsite B is tighter, with small hallways and areas like Connector and Sniper’s Nest that make for close, intense fights.

The middle part of the map is super important. If your team controls it, you can move between sites faster and change up your strategy depending on what’s happening. There’s also the Canal area, which lets you sneak around or set up surprise attacks that can really catch the enemy off guard.

Tactical Strategies

Terrorist Side

Taking control of Mid is one of the best things you can do as a T. It gives your team more options and makes it easier to pressure both bomb sites. Try using smokes and decoys to fake out the CTs and pull them out of position. If your team’s feeling confident, a quick rush through Canal and Bridge can work really well – just make sure you’re using flashbangs and molotovs to clear out key spots and avoid getting caught off guard.

Counter-Terrorist Side

As a CT, throwing your utility early can really slow down the T-side. Good molotovs and smokes can mess up their pushes and buy your team time to set up. If you can take control of Mid early, it cuts off their rotation options and puts you in a stronger spot to control the round. And if you’ve got backup, don’t be afraid to push and try to grab an early pick.

Tips

Map Control
Owning Middle gives you the flexibility to rotate quickly between sites and respond to threats as they arise. It’s often worth dedicating resources here.

Practice Timings
Every route on Anubis has different timings – knowing exactly when you’ll encounter an enemy can help you win those crucial first duels.

Watch for Flanks
Canal and Tunnel are often used for flanks. Always keep an eye on your radar and make sure someone is watching the back lines.
